There’s lots of good news about our neighbors in the December edition of The Suburban!

Congratulations to Rob and Lisa Lain (Thole St.) for the opening of their new Ghent business, The Bonbonnier.  The Lain family and their new business was featured in the Virginian Pilot earlier in the month…

High-energy Parent-Teacher Liaison Claudette Dalmida (Suburban Park Elementary) was also featured in The Pilot this month, and we have the highlights and photos in this month’s Suburban.

Join us for this month’s Suburban Acres Civic League meeting, Monday evening November 10.  DOORS OPEN HALF-HOUR EARLY THIS MONTH AT 5:30 PM FOR FLU SHOT CLINIC provided by the Wards Corner Farm Fresh Pharmacy (no cash up front-Farm Fresh will bill your insurance). Meeting starts at 6:30 pm. 

Our presentation this month is from Norfolk Fire-Rescue, and will highlight fire department operations in the city, and fire safety. 

Please bring a non-perishable food item donation for the annual Suburban Park Elementary Holiday Food Drive.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

October Edition of The Suburban

Please join us Monday evening October 13 for Suburban Acres Civic League general business meeting at Suburban Park Elementary School.  Doors open at 6 pm, the meeting starts at 6:30 pm.  Special refreshments this month with our fall-themed Crock Pot Cook-off, with prizes for the best crock pot cookery!  Our guest speaker is Suzanne Patrick, Democratic nominee for the 2nd Congressional District election on November 4th.
