11/2/19 Suburban Acres Adopt-a-Spot Litter Cleanup Pictures

It was an absolutely gorgeous morning for cleaning up the neighborhood!  SACL members and neighbors cleaned up the grounds of Suburban Park Elementary and the streets and sidewalks of Thole Street from Galveston to Tinee Giant.

We even picked up two tires and a generator!

Thank you to everyone who came out to help pick up litter in the neighborhood.  See you all at our next event!

Adopt-A-Spot Cancelled for January 26, 2019

The Suburban Acres Civic League’s Adopt-A-Spot trash clean-up has been cancelled for Saturday, January 26th, due to the predicted freezing/sub-freezing temperatures in the morning.  The cleanup will be rescheduled for warmer weather so neighbors can enjoy their morning of community service!  ❄⛄❄

But mark your calendars for the league’s general meeting on February 11th at Suburban Park Elementary School.  Our speaker will be Norfolk Chief of Police, Larry Boone.  Here’s your chance to talk with our top law enforcement officer about crime and safety issues in our city.

Soggy, but Successful Adopt-a-Spot! [Pictures]

The SACL held its Adopt-a-Spot event on October 20th, 2018.  Thanks to everyone that came out to help pick up trash from Suburban Park Elementary to the Tinee Giant along Thole Street.  The weather was rather rotten, which understandably kept some folks away, but we still picked up a lot of trash.  We are looking forward to the next Adopt-a-Spot event!
