Another Great Suburban Acres Community Cleanup!

Members of the Suburban Acres Civic League joined forces to help clean up our community on Saturday, March 30.  It was a beautiful day for a clean up.  We look forward to future clean up efforts and will continue to commit to these events in the future.  Be on the lookout for future announcements of clean up dates by following this website and our facebook page!

Wards Corner Draft Vision & Plan is Out!

The City of Norfolk has posted a draft of “A Vision for Wards Corner: Urban Development Area Plan”.

  • Public hearing at City Planning Commission on May 23rd

[Reminder] Suburban Acres Spring Litter Cleanup 3/30/19 @ 9AM

When:  Saturday, March 30, 2019, 9:00 am.

Where:  Meet at Suburban Park Elementary School teachers’ parking lot.

The Suburban Acres Civic League is hosting our quarterly Adopt-a-Spot event.  Suburban Acres neighbors will gather to clean up litter around Suburban Park Elementary School and Caton Park, and along Thole Street to Tinee Giant.

Bring your friends and family to meet neighbors and help keep our community one of the best (and greenest) in Norfolk!  🌺🌳

March 2019 Suburban Acres Civic League Meeting Recap and Minutes

The official minutes of the Suburban Acres Civic League meeting held on March 11, 2019 have been posted.   Go here to see the minutes

The meeting was headlined by an insightful discussion with Norfolk Sheriff, Joe Baron.  Sheriff Baron ran the members and guests through his department’s priorities for the year and provided helpful clarity for everyone on the functions and values of the department.
