Fat Tuesday on Valentine’s Day? For 2015 it is! But before we get to February 14, the monthly Suburban Acres Civic League meeting is Monday February 9 at 6:30 pm (doors open at 6 pm for refreshments) at Suburban Park Elementary School, 310 Thole Street.

Our presentation this month is from Norfolk Fire-Rescue, and will highlight fire department operations in the city, and fire safety.

October Edition of The Suburban

Special refreshments this month with our fall-themed Crock Pot Cook-off, with prizes for the best crock pot cookery! Our special guest is Fenton Priest from Eggleston Services. Mr. Priest will speak about Eggleston Service’s many retail operations that support employment of handicapped persons in Hampton Roads, and a new program at Eggleston’s Tanner’s Creek Garden Center that features plants used in wetland restoration.
