Guest speaker for the meeting was Greg Bockheim from the Norfolk Zoo.

Mr. Bockheim provided an interesting talk on the zoo’s programs related to education, community outreach, and conservation and breeding of at-risk species from around the world. The Virginia Zoo hosts about 500,000 visitors a year and is the only zoo in Virginia that is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  Mr. Bockheim ended his talk with a “pop quiz” and gave stuffed animals to the winners!
