Happy first day of summer! And that means in less than two weeks, we will have the Suburban Acres Civic League’s July 4th Parade and Picnic.

This year we are having a sidewalk parade at Suburban Park Elementary School, rather than a street parade. Decorate your kids and pets, wagons, strollers, hand trucks, battery operated small vehicles, bicycles, tricycles, and anything else that can be pushed or pulled. The sidewalk parade will start at the Galveston Blvd. and Carl St. playground and go around the back of the school grounds. We encourage all neighbors to come and support, cheer, and wave to the folks in the parade, and then stay and enjoy a hot dog, chips, and a drink with your neighbors.
