Suburban Park Elementary is organizing a food drive with the goal to make food baskets to ensure needy families in their school have a feast to celebrate this Thanksgiving. The Civic League is supporting this food drive, and we’re asking our community to help out. We will collect canned goods at the November 9th Civic League meeting and we will be making additional cash donations as well. If you would like to make a contribution, please email the Civic League at suburbanacres@gmail.com or call Tim Fox at 338-0439.
Bring your donations of canned goods to the November 9th meeting and help Suburban Park Elementary School Food Drive make this Thanksgiving brighter for our neighbors in need.

At the August 2009 general meeting, the SACL body voted on and ratified the draft amendments to the 1994 version of its League Constitution and Bylaws. Click on the image below to view a pdf of the revised document.
Hardcopies will be made available to paid members. Computer savvy members are encouraged to view the document online – as an environmental and economical saving.
The Constitution and Bylaws will reside under the ‘About’ tab of this site.
Please help us to gauge the success of the Suburban Acres Civic League this year to date by responding to the poll below. You are encouraged (at all times) to share your thoughts and suggestions with the SACL Executive Panel so that the Civic League can function at it’s best in support of the Suburban Acres neighborhood.

UPDATE: We will be marching up Suburban Pkwy after all!!
Come out…bring your marching band and let’s celebrate!
Parade starts @ 1000 — departing Suburban Park Elementary, up Carl, left onto Suburban Pkwy, left onto Galveston, and finishing up at the school for refreshments provided by the Civic League.
Due to a number of financial hurdles, the Civic League is not closing Suburban Pkwy for a parade.
HOWEVER…many Suburban Acres neighbors will meet at Suburban Park Elementary at 9:30 and step off at 10:00 to celebrate the birthday of America!
Just as last year, neighbors donning patriotic themes will parade up Carl, turn left onto Brickby, and left onto Galveston — finishing up at the school.
The Civic League will be set up at the school to serve refreshments afterward, and NFD will have Engine 9 on site for the kids to explore.
If you didn’t come last year, take a look at the pictures on on the photos tab above…it was a great time…and is sure to be again!
** If you have a marching band — bring it!
Congratulations to Kenny & Theresa Bryant of Suburban Pkwy for the June 2009 Yard of the Month!
Your yard looks gorgeous…and we can’t believe you got the 10 yds. of mulch spread so quickly!
