Meanwhile…be prepared…here are some links to help.
Be safe…and as you can, look after your neighbors.

The City of Norfolk is currently working with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management to make sure that all are properly prepared should an emergency situation arise.
Residents are encouraged to complete a brief survey accessible by the link below. From the website, click on the survey link at the bottom of the page.
Together, we can make sure that all residents are properly prepared for an emergency situation.
We need your support to make our clean up efforts a success!! This year we will clean the shoreline of the Lafayette River @ the Granby St. Bridge :
“The Lafayette River, earlier known as Tanner’s Creek, is a short tidal estuary which empties into the Elizabeth River just south of Sewell’s Point near its mouth at Hampton Roads, which in turn empties into the southern end of Chesapeake Bay.”
*We will meet at the base of the Bridge- there is a small area to the right (heading S.) that should be accessible for parking. Please note that this site involves being close to the waters edge and there is significant traffic surrounding the Bridge- it may not be an ideal setting for very small children*
**Please wear closed toe shoes or boots, long shirt/ pants are recommended and don’t forget the bug spray!!
