2nd Annual Ice Cream Social
Saturday, August 27th @ 1:30 – 3:00pm
at NFD Station 9 on Thole St
Who doesn’t love (free) ICE CREAM and Fire Engines!!
Bring the family and a neighbor down for a cool celebration of the end of summer – and another opportunity to grow and strengthen our community.

4th of July Parade!
(6th Annual)
Join Suburban Acres neighbors in a classic celebration of American freedom by parading through our wonderful neighborhood. We’ll meet on Monday morning, July 4th at Suburban Park Elementary @ 9:30 — and the parade will step off @ 10:00.
Parade Route: Depart from Suburban Park Elementary > up Carl > left onto Suburban Pkwy > left onto Galveston > ending at the school. (If you’re not marching, bring a chair and cheer us along the route)
Norfolk Police , Norfolk Sheriff’s Dept., NFD Ladder 9, Norfolk Tide’s very own RIP TIDE!, and many others are joining in the celebration!
The Civic League will be set up at the school to provide refreshments after the parade.
This is a classic event and a great time to meet your neighbors! Bring your bikes, wagons, riders, dogs, power wheels, small convertibles, kids, floats, small marching bands, spirit…and come join our community celebration for the birthday of the greatest country known to man!

The evenings are growing cool, and the colors of the leaves are just beginning to break.
The feeling of change is in the air, and with it comes another opportunity for us to get together and enjoy our neighbors and community.

- Chili Cook Off: Do you have a prize winning recipe? Let the neighborhood be the judge…Bring a crock-
pot of your prize winning family recipe ~ mmm…. - Pumpkin carving contest: Bring your already carved pumpkin to win an award for the best Jack-O-Lantern
- Dessert Contest! Bring a sweet treat for a chance to win! (ghosts love dessert!)
- Childrens art activities for the young ghouls
- Refreshments: provided by your Civic League
- Costumes: encouraged!
- Memories: provided by you!
